Evelyne and Didier Chetrite first embarked upon their Sandro adventure in 1984. For Evelyne, it was a vocation born in her grandfather's shirt store in Rabat and cemented in the streets of the French capital. Parisian women had a unique style that made her want to become a designer. Evelyne was inspired by her childhood memories of Morocco and the strong contrast between the ochre earth in the villages and her mother's white caftans. As the founder and artistic director of Sandro, Evelyne gives us a real feel for growing up in Rabat and her memory of its vibrant colors through the brand's stunning collections. Her vision of femininity is her own and is the cornerstone of the brand, giving all those who wear her clothes an exquisitely Parisian look. Her outfits strike just the right style note and are a firm favorite among the Places des Tendances team. In 2008, Evelyne's son Ilan Chetrite launched Sandro Men, a chic, nonconformist range of menswear. There is also a line of Sandro bags to meet all your everyday needs.
