Karma Koma Women

Founded in 2004 by Laurence Appietto Raffaelli, originally from Corsica and adopted by Bali, Karma Koma reflects its creator's vision of fashion: halfway between Corsican poetry and Balinese philosophy. The result is collections with simple and feminine designs, minimalist and elegant with thoughtful and crafted cuts. The fabrics are fluid and the colours are solid, with great importance placed on the quality of the materials.

A founding journey between Corsica and Bali

Karma Koma draws its origins from a trip to Bali undertaken by its creator in 2003, which led her to meet local artisans and designers. From these encounters was born the first creation, which was followed by many others: a revisited Thai trousers that met with some success in the creator's boutique in Porto-Vecchio.

The brand name, Karma Koma, was chosen in reference to the duality of the creator's inspiration, with the word Karma representing the spiritual law encouraging good deeds around us, and the word Koma denoting timelessness and destiny.

The two islands respectively bring a Balinese influence and a Mediterranean influence to Karma Koma, which translates into a collection combining elegance, simplicity, and modernity. The brand finds its place perfectly in the French ready-to-wear market, while carrying more exotic and insular ideals: it reminds us of the importance of travel, of freedom through a successful blend of craftsmanship and contemporary fashion.

Bohemian style and iconic pieces
