Born on 11 July 1934 in Piacenza, Giorgio Armani reigned over Italian fashion, spreading his stylistic power even to other fields. Starting with medical studies and then photography, he quickly developed a passion for fashion and became a stylist and then a free-lance consultant. It was in 1975, accompanied by Sergio Galeotti, that Giorgio Armani decided to create his own brand.
From the 1980s onwards, Giorgio Armani showed his stylistic efficiency by blurring the boundaries between the business dress code and the casual wardrobe. Now a household name, Giorgio Armani decided to establish the foundations of his style with the incorporation of the eagle logo, an established use of denim and the almost systematic use of grey.
A genius businessman, Giorgio Armani did not limit himself to his first brand, in addition to his clothing lines (Giorgio Armani Privé, Emporio Armani, AJ | Armani Jeans, A/X Armani Exchange, Armani Junior), his company also markets eyewear, watches, jewellery, cosmetics, perfumes and luxury furniture.
