Vans is constantly innovating and coming up with different styles, colors and designs so that everyone can find their perfect pair. Discover the latest Vans women's styles at Place des Tendances.
Founded in 1966 in California by Paul Van Doren, along with his brother Jim and his friends Gordy and Serge, the Vans Doren Rubber Company opened its doors. They sell their shoes directly from the factory which is a totally unique way of working. Their slogan at the time was "Canvas trainers for the whole family". The idea of customising the trainers by the customers came to Paul after a request from a customer for a special colour of shoe. Although the popularity of the sneakers grew rapidly, it was the Universal Pictures movie "It's Hot at Ridgemont High School" that made Vans really popular with its checkered design, making the trainers an icon and even appearing on the movie's soundtrack box. After the film, sales of Vans trainers exploded and the brand became known literally overnight. You too can personalise your shoes with our selection of Vans trainers available now at Place des Tendances.
