Superga is an Italian shoe brand created in Turin in 1911 by Walter Martiny. Superga was the world's first tennis shoe and in 1925 the company created its iconic 2750 model in vulcanised rubber, which came in various colours. Superga takes its name from a hill on which a basilica is erected, offering a picturesque view of the Piedmontese city through which the River Po flows. In 1934, the brand broadened its horizons and began to produce models suitable for basketball, fitness, sailing, etc. In 1997, Superga left the tennis courts for the catwalks and magazines. It became the trendy trainer and no longer the trainer for sportsmen. In 2019, Superga opened its first shop in Paris, in the Marais district. A few minutes walk from there, the brand is also available at the BHV MARAIS. Find all the Superga items on Place des Tendances.
