The Kookaï journey began in 1983. Three friends created a clothing company to fill a gap in the market: knitwear for young women. This iconic women's fashion brand stood out from the crowd with its designer positioning, offering on-trend clothing that was purposefully affordable. Its designers were constantly striving to make its knitwear more attractive, more original and as fairly priced as possible to meet the needs of a young, changing customer base. Its main target audience was young, sassy, liberated 80s women. It offered feminine cuts and sensual materials inspired by current trends. The "Kookaïette" was born. It was a brand for pretty little misses who were comfortable with themselves and their slightly crazy ways. But Kookaï has moved with the times and with its customers. The sassiness and quality have remained but the style has grown up. Kookaï is now aimed at bold, cultured women with plenty of spirit. The new Kookaïette isn't dictated to by fashion.
