The story of K-Way starts in 1965 when Léon-Claude Duhamel, sitting on a Parisian café terrace, sketched out the first rain coat. Over the years, K-Way has been the point of reference for rainwear, but has also been made popular by actors and featured in films. K-Way clothing is the undisputable benchmark for rainwear, thanks to both their effectiveness and their design. Discover the K-Way menswear collection at Place des Tendances and find the perfect coat or padded jacket for rainy or windy days.
K-way is a French brand from Nord-Pas-de-Calais, created by Léon-Claude Duhamel in 1965. The son of a textile manufacturer, he suggested to his father that he create a new product from coated nylon that could replace the heavy rain gear worn by children. The new garment was light, comfortable and could be rolled up into a small fanny pack for transport. It was a colourful idea, with bright red, blue and green colours intruding into the dull changing rooms of rainy days. A revolution in the codes and ideas of the time was underway and K-way indirectly contributed to it. An iconic and modern garment, it was present in every schoolyard in the 70s and 80s. Twenty years later, in the early 2000s, Italian elegance brought the original models up to date with revisited cuts. Slipped under a jacket, it became the fashionable, light, comfortable and ultra trendy touch. The range is expanding with reversible down jackets, parkas and high quality jumpers. The K-way 3.0 is tearproof, 100% waterproof and breathable. Protect yourself from the cold and rain with our selection of K-way swimwear, jackets, bomber jackets and coats available now at Place des Tendances.
