Tout commence à Amsterdam en 2008 : Barbara Brenninkmeijer fonde By-Bar, une marque d'accessoires fabriqués main à petite échelle. Depuis, l'entreprise n'a cessé de grandir. C'est aujourd'hui une marque lifestyle à la portée internationale, qui possède sa propre boutique en ligne et son magasin à Maastricht. Elle collabore également avec plusieurs boutiques partenaires aux Pays-Bas, en Allemagne, en Belgique, en France et en Espagne.
