It all began in Amsterdam in 2008: Barbara Brenninkmeijer founded By-Bar, a brand of small-scale, handmade accessories. Since then, the company has continued to grow. It is now an internationally accessible lifestyle brand with its own online shop and a store in Maastricht. It also collaborates with several partner boutiques in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, and Spain.

By-Bar defines itself as a lifestyle brand for the modern woman.
