Essentiel Antwerp started off in 1999 with a loud and proud T-shirt collection as an anti-dote to the monochromatic fashion landscape, but quickly grew into a complete ready-to-wear women's collection. The French-Iranian founder Esfan Eghtessadi, the son of designer Nicole Cadine, spent his childhood amid fabrics and sketches. Co-founder Inge Onsea travelled the world and lived in India for years, after which she came back home with a love for colors, prints and sequins. Their heritage is showcased in vibrant and bold collections, filled with strong colors and prints that truly embody a fierce and fearless mindset.
What started as a collection of basic t-shirts in 1999 has grown into a colourful collection of ready-to-wear clothing for men and women. Esfan Eghtessadi, son of fashion designer Nicole Cadine, grew up in the world of textiles, sketches and fashion collections. The evening he first met Inge Onsea's eyes, he immediately saw in her the incarnation of grace and femininity. An icon... This meeting turns into a love story, a passion that leads them to marriage, the birth of two children and... Essentiel. The brand has two goals: to make fashion fun with a subtle mix of prints, colours and fabrics at an affordable price, and to make the experience of diving into the world of Essentiel one that is a source of dreams, emotion and happiness. The ability to work with colour in a sober and elegant way is remarkable, and the pieces are undeniably modern yet sparkling and colourful.
