After the Music Day festivities and especially after Pharell's phenomenal parade for Louis Vuitton, which brought together the cream of musical icons, we couldn't ignore the 50th anniversary of HIP HOP. A cult cultural movement, it has had a major influence on fashion and continues to inspire our wardrobes. Let's decipher the trend!
HIP HOP CULTURE
Born in the Bronx around 1970, this musical trend has rocked and still rocks our gentle rebellious generations with its unique melodies and styles. We become nostalgic when we watch a Fugees music video with the fabulous Laureen Hill, or when we remember wearing a Schott bomber jacket to an IAM concert to pretend to be "one of them." Today, it's no longer our ancestors Tupac and Run DMC, but now Jay-Z, Orelsan, Cardi B, Drake, and many others who are the true icons of Hip Hop! Let's go back to the two main fashion influences of the movement for decidedly more modern looks. And don't forget its slogan: "PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, and HAVING FUN!" We could even add: "ONE TIME... ONE OPPORTUNITY"! (With Eminem).

Hip-hop popularized streetwear style, characterized by casual and comfortable clothing such as tracksuits, hoodies, sneakers, flat-brimmed caps, and the legendary bandana. Today, we adopt it in all the shops and from all the racks! Whether in a full street style or mixed and matched with another style, it softens both attitudes and us!
BLING BLING IN VOLLER PRACHT!
