A family affair that is reflected in its DNA. Indeed, Closed works with more than 400 trusted people from Germany, where it was founded, all over Europe to the USA. The founders, Til Nadler, Gordon Giers and Hans Redlefsen, founded the brand as a trio with a common vision and spirit: to work with people they like. After studying together in London, the three men decided to follow different paths, each in a city on the European continent. But very quickly the idea of collaboration seemed obvious. Today, they are each running different branches of Closed, complementing each other perfectly. Gordon Giers is responsible for Design and Marketing, Til Nadler for Distribution and Hans Redlefsen for the financial planning of the company. As a close-knit team, they have established a dynamic vision: to always create sophisticated, high-end pieces and to ensure that every step of the production process is of the highest quality. In 1978, the brand's ambition was to become the benchmark for denim. "This", in 1968, was the original name of the brand, with their first sportswear and design collection. "C'est ça" was inspired by the famous designers Marithé and François Gribaud, but after an objection to the naming by a textile brand, the brand decided to rename itself CLOSED. And the name has stuck ever since! Founded by Marithé and François Girbaud and sold to their Hamburg partners, Hans Leplow and Günther Giers, at the end of the 90s. Taken over at the end of 2009 by son Gordon and his friends. French imagination, Italian know-how, German spirit. These influences have given birth to their productions.
