American Vintage Women

Michaël Azoulay founded the American Vintage brand in Marseille in 2005, inspired by the United States. He had been struck by the vast open spaces and the relaxed atmosphere they create, and decided to redesign that most timeless basic, the T-shirt. The collections have grown season by season, structured around increasingly detailed pieces. American Vintage now offers men's, women's and children's ranges, where colours and materials, the brand's DNA, generate excitement.

After a trip to the United States in 2005, the Marseillais Michaël Azoulay created American Vintage, a brand of ready-to-wear fashion and accessories with a pared-down, vintage feel. In keeping with the name of the brand, items are classed by key theme with evocative names like the "Massachusetts" all-cotton range. In 2008, he launched the brand's menswear collection and expanded it internationally. Although the menswear collection was originally about reinterpreting the classic T-shirt, it wasn't long before it grew to include more fashionable pieces. American Vintage is an art of living. And the brand is always looking to collaborate with talented artists. Recently, American Vintage gave three photographers free rein to express their own vision of the brand's collections.
