The story of the Vanessa Wu brand

Born in the North of France into a family of shoe wholesalers, Vanessa Wu grew up surrounded by the business. A weakness in her right foot confronted her early on with a dilemma: finding truly comfortable models without sacrificing style. After following the family business and then honing her skills at Lanvin, she decided at the age of 25 to create her own brand, with this founding idea: to prioritize comfort without compromising on fashion.

Launched in 2011 under the name Vanessa’s Secrets before becoming Vanessa Wu two years later, the brand asserted itself as a resolutely family adventure. Vanessa, designer and artistic director, surrounded herself with her mother to manage the style and production follow-up, and her brother Xavier to develop the commercial side. Initially dedicated to B2B, Vanessa Wu then accelerated on digital with its e-shop, joined FEVAD in 2021, and strengthened its identity over the years: success of the iconic Éclair sneakers in 2019, creation of a permanent collection, then rebranding and diversification with the launch of leather goods.

The brand offers a fairly wide range that focuses primarily on shoes, but also complements your outfit with bags, headwear, or phone accessories. At the heart of the brand's designs are animal prints: mainly leopard but also python, found in every category of items.

Shoes

The Vanessa Wu shoe range comes in three main categories: low-top sneakers adorned with a lightning bolt or the brand's logo; high-heeled leather boots and elegant ankle boots. Notably, we find Chelsea boots and cowboy boots, as well as some slipper, pump, and loafer models.

Accessories

Vanessa Wu offers a selection of various accessories: corduroy caps and bucket hats to match your shoes; or blended socks to slip into fur-lined ankle boots. Also, some phone accessories, with chains and cases featuring the brand's logo.

In terms of bags, the styles are very varied, including:
