Nathan Swartz, founder of Timberland, began his career in 1918 as an apprentice shoemaker, learning to cut leather, sew, and assemble soles. In 1952, Nathan Swartz, armed with his experience and perfected techniques, decided to launch his own company by acquiring 50% of the shares of the Abington Shoe Company in Abington, Massachusetts. Thanks to his hard work, it wasn't long before he acquired the remaining shares and took over the entire company; Timberland was born. Shortly after, Timberland introduced its first waterproof boots, produced using a new injection molding technology. This cutting-edge technology at the time made these shoes extremely popular very quickly. Their first Yellow Boot appeared in 1973, and the company owes its success primarily to this iconic boot. Even today, their pair of yellow boots is recognized as a true fashion icon, named for its vibrant color, but it is also available in many other versions. These baskets, boots or leather ankle boots are an ideal combination of quality and extremely practical functionality.
