Superga is an Italian shoe brand created in Turin in 1911 by Walter Martiny. The Superga is the world's first tennis shoe, and in 1925 the company created its iconic 2750 model in vulcanised rubber, which would be released in different colours. Superga takes its name from a hill on which a basilica stands, offering a picturesque view of the Piedmontese city crossed by the Po. In 1934, the brand broadened its horizons and began to produce models adapted for basketball, fitness, sailing, etc. In 1997, Superga moved from tennis courts to catwalks and magazines. It became the trendy trainer, no longer just the athlete's shoe. In 2019, Superga opened its first boutique in Paris, in the Marais district.
