Hindbag est une marque française éthique de sacs et accessoires colorés, qui s'engage pour l'émancipation des femmes en Inde. Créée en 2015, la marque collabore avec Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute (SSMI), une ONG indienne qui œuvre à l'émancipation des femmes d'un quartier défavorisé de Delhi. Ces femmes confectionnent les accessoires textiles en échange d'un salaire supérieur à la moyenne du pays, de formations continues et d'une place à l'école pour leurs enfants. Au-delà de son engagement social, Hindbag utilise 100% de matières éco-responsables avec du coton et jute bio labellisés GOTS et de la laine recyclée labellisée GRS.

Les origines de la marque


Hindbag a été fondée en 2015 par Pierre Monnier, après une collaboration initiale avec l'ONG SSMI lors d'un projet étudiant en 2012. L'objectif était de permettre à l'ONG de générer des revenus stables en fabriquant des sacs en toile pour la communication d'entreprise. Aujourd'hui, Hindbag est la principale source de revenus de l'ONG, contribuant à son indépendance financière et à ses engagements pour l'émancipation des femmes, l'éducation des enfants et la lutte contre la malnutrition¿.
