Cerruti was created by Nino Cerruti when he took over the family business. Very quickly, he rethought production procedures and modernized the way clothes were designed. Building on his heritage, he sought to enhance the family manufacture by leveraging the know-how of his parents and grandparents. At the time, men's clothing consisted of simple suits, in dark colors and without any extravagance. It is in this context that the Cerruti house established itself among the greatest when it offered an innovative and original collection, which was noticed by the fashion press. It was also one of the first ready-to-wear collections for men. Indeed, in the fifties, the predominant model was haute couture and made-to-measure. Cerruti collections were therefore symbols of avant-gardism and were experienced as revolutions. This Parisian couture house with Italian roots then participated in the renewal of men's fashion. In order to develop, it established its headquarters and its eponymous boutique on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, while its workshops continued their work in Italy. After several men's collections, and a line of clothing for women, Cerruti made its international debut by selling pieces in Japan and the United States. In 1978, Cerruti created its perfume range, starting first with fragrances for men. Faced with the undeniable success of this collection, the brand then offered several other perfumes, including fragrances for women. Today, the brand constantly seeks sophisticated designs and fabrics, in order to offer natural elegance to your look. It offers a collection of ready-to-wear, accessories, and perfumes that remains true to its values and its distinctive know-how.
