Cashmere is a noble and delicate material that loves water. A cashmere sweater should be washed regularly, after being worn two or three times. Machine washing is suitable for cashmere sweaters. Use a wool program exclusively, and do not exceed 500 revolutions per minute for spinning. Contrary to what one might imagine, cashmere does not tolerate fabric softener. Hand washing is also a possible alternative, following the same instructions as for machine washing, gently kneading it for a few minutes without twisting it. Cashmere sweaters should always be dried flat to maintain their original shape. If the knitwear has some wrinkles, it can be ironed with a low heat setting without pulling on the knit.
