Legend has it that the American Marquis Mills Converse decided to launch shoes with rubber soles to prevent slipping when he fell down the stairs. The story begins in 1908 in Malden, a small town in Massachusetts north of Boston, when Marquis Mills decided to create his company: the Converse Rubber Shoes Company. At the beginning of the 20th century, basketball was the sport in vogue. The brand took advantage of this popularity to create sports shoes, and in particular high shoes. After many tests, the first All Star shoe appeared. All brands that have been around for decades and still count today owe everything, in general, to a product that led them to glory. For Converse, it was the All Star Chuck Taylor. No one ignores this pair of trainers. The pair has even been featured in famous films, including John Travolta in Grease, Leonardo Dicaprio in The Basketball Diaries, and more recently Daniel Radcliff in Harry Potter.
